Custom Order Policy effective 3/1/07

5/13/08 - I am currently working to get the store and site updated as quickly as possible. I have several products to add to the catalog and will have them available shortly. Due to circumstances, turn around time on custom orders is now 4 months for small quilts and 8 months for bed size quilts. As much as I would love to stay home and quilt all day long, I do have to hold a regular job as well. Also due to several incidents where orders have been placed and payments were never received, payments now will be accepted by PAYPAL ONLY. Through paypal you can pay by credit card, e-check, or bank transfer. I apologize for the inconvenience, but unpaid orders have become a problem.
4/29/07 - I am now taking orders for custom quilts for Christmas 2007. Personalized embroidered fleece throws can be ordered for Christmas delivery until Nov. 1, 2007. Order forms for fleece will be available shortly. It may seem a bit early to be thinking about Christmas, but since quilts take several months to create it's wise to get an early start.
4/5/07 - We had a glitch in our catalog, but it is now back up and running smoothly. Please update your bookmarks since it has now moved to http://www.mothersuniquedesigns.com/cart
More marble colors have been added to the catalog as well as a beautiful Moda University quilt pattern and All American Quilt Wash. We're also slowly adding selections from the Chelsea Boutique line.
4/2/07 - Moda Fabrics have arrived!!!
Moda fabrics are now in our store ready for delivery.
3/27/07 - Coming soon!! Moda Fabrics!! Soon we will be carrying Moda Fabrics and Quilting Notions for United Notions.
Our selection will be small to begin with, but will grow over time.

2/28/07 -
We have a new policy regarding Custom
Orders. Effective 3/1/07 any changes made to custom orders
after a quilt has been approved in additional charges. I've been
getting quite a few orders lately where clients are wanting to change
design or colors well after construction begins, and in some cases when
the quilt is nearly complete. The policy is available
here .
12/31/06 -
Our
shopping partners page is now back up and running. In addition
to there, we've been adding link partners to the bottom of each of our
pages. Just another way we're trying to making it easier to find
what you need. Also we will soon be launching a free classified ad
section so our shoppers can trade or sell their unwanted craft supplies.
If there is enough interested, we may also add a craft mall so those
without websites can post their completed craft items for sale. If
this is something you would be interested in,
please let us know. As of now we're just researching the idea,
so we don't have any details on that at this time.
We have also loaded photos of our workhorse, the
1901 Singer treadle machine.

Mother's Unique Designs strives to make Custom Handmade Quilts affordable to everyone. We are located in Southwestern Pennsylvania and began creating custom handmade quilts in 2002. We opened our online store in 2004 and since then have made a lot of additions to our products and our website features, including offering our quilt making services for Quilt Restoration and Repair and Quilt Finishing.
We specialize in handmade, one of a kind handmade quilts. Our quilt
designer can help you come up with a color combination and design that

Our Custom Handmade Quilts and our other Quilts for Sale are all made with quality cotton fabrics and battings. Battings are also available in Silk, Wool, and Cotton/Poly blend. Our quilt backings are cotton, but we also back our bed quilts with flannel to give them that extra snuggle quality and warmth for winter.
Other crafts also available, all handmade with quality materials. All items here, excluding the candles, here are one of a kind. We take special care never to make two exactly alike. Express shipping, gift cards, and gift wrapping are available on every item.
Our chief beading designer is my daughter who is autistic. There is so much about autism is misunderstood that I've made it a priority for my company to support autism awareness and research.
